On Jan 13, 2012, the story of the CCSF Viruses hit the press worldwide:

http://www.sfgate.com/education/article/Viruses-stole-City-College-of-S-F-data-for-years-2502338.php

The assertion was that vast numbers of computers at CCSF has been infected for more than ten years, stealing student data, undetected.

The whole thing was lie fabricated by security consultant USDN, and believed by the CCSF CTO. The clams were proven false, and the CTO was removed. As far as I can tell, none of the media reports about the viruses were ever retracted or amended.
